Torque OBD2 App USB Intergration Trouble shooting

Does anyone else use the torque OBD 2 App? Personally i love it I originally had it set up with Vgate wifi OBD2 adapter however everytime i turn off the car I have to pull it out and put it back in again for it to work.

I decided to try the ELM327 usb version instead but cannot get it to connect. When plugged in the message comes up do you want torque to connect I said yes then you go into the app and cannot find the adapter. I tried different baud rates and got nothing. Has anyone else tried this? I want to have it set up permanently it looks mad on the dash and I like the idea of having electronic guages to monitor the car (my cars boosted)

No I mean the ELm327 USB adapter I ran a USB cable from my headunit down the drivers side. I dont want to use a Bluettoth adapter because then I lose my phone connectivity.

I had the wifi adapter but everytime you turn the car on and off you need to pull out the adapter and plug it back in to make it work

I've had that happen when flashing different ROMs but I never figured out what the exact issue is...sometimes it shows up (something like 'generic FTDI adapter'), sometimes it doesn't...but once it's set up it will continue to work. Disconnect any other USB devices and maybe try starting Torque before plugging in the adapter? Also I believe your head unit must support USB host mode.

I've been using an OBDLink SX on an old Joying MTCB with no issues, other than mentioned above.
