Thumbs up BRZ / FRS Seat Swap - No Airbag Light!

Hey guys,

This is for reference of anyone searching out this topic. I bought BRZ Premium seats to put in my FR-S. I started reading about the process and from the couple of threads I found guys were getting an airbag light after the swap. The results were mixed, but 2/3 threads had airbag lights.

I disconnected the battery well before unplugging any of the cabling under the seat. Swapped both driver and passenger front seat, then plugged the battery back in. Much to my relief I did NOT have any airbag light.

So it was a really straight forward and easy swap, zero issues. Got rid of those childish red bolsters (no offense if you like them)!

Thanks,
John

Who said anything about wanting a "grownup" car? I just think the ricer red seat bolsters and the red stitching throughout the car is meant to market the car to 15 year old kids who just watched the 19th Fast and Furious movie.
