Side Airbag light with aftermarket seat?
Other then the TRD airbag canceller, what other options are there for us? I know we can run without a resistor but I don't want the annoying light or the DIY of blocking it in the gauge cluster.

The resistor works perfectly fine on the drivers side. That is all you need if all you replace is the drivers side. If you do the passenger side the only way to not have it is to remove the passenger seat weight sensor from the stock seat and plug it in.
We folded it up and tucked it under the carpet. The only issue is that it thinks there is someone in the passenger seat all the time and it wants the seatbelt plugged in. I am going to try and turn it off with techstream. Trust me when I say that is the only way to replace the pass seat and not have a light. what signal does the weight sensor send to that plug? there has got to be a way to trick the car into thinking its plugged in. |
