Fresh reflash low end power loss

Just flashed stage 2 UEL tune. Took car for a ten minute ride and noticed the low end torque and horsepower went very soft and then around 4k RPM it hits and pulls hard to redline. Obviously the cam phasing and ignition timing have alott to do with this. Once the ECU learns this tune should I regain the to mid. My torque dip just got worse basically!?

Accelerator will be "dead" feeling for first few mm of travel. after reflash

Did you ley car idle for at least a minute after reflash, else cams wont operate

Log the tune see if you have high fuel trims, incorrect afr or knock

It was a cold start and had it idle for about 2 minutes.

Sounds like the AVCS failing to activate indeed.

Sometimes they'll activate, sometimes not. For now you don't have to do anything, they will activate next time you start the car.

Next time you flash and if you have the same problem continue to drive until the engine has heated up. Pull over and let it idle for 10-20 seconds and they will activate.

Tomorrow morning I will be running and testing the car. I will check back in with results. Thanks for the
Tech!

It may be my relative newness to OFT and tuning, but is this just dead pedal after reflash? Turn the car on to accessory, depress and release the gas pedal at least 5 times, 5-10 secs for each down/up cycle (you could watch the throttle position on the OFT). Turn car off. If you still have dead pedal, rinse and repeat. It only took me one try to get the pedal feel back after reflash.

It wasn't a pedal response issue. My cams lower RPM stage timing was inoperable. Basically stuck in second stage Upper RPM cam timing so was over scavenging and flat until it got up on the cam.

Its good now anyway, Once I fired it up this morning and warmed for a few minutes it calibrated and all is good. Going to drive this tune for a little bit while ECU learns it and it becomes optimized. I will then fill up on E85 and try out the 85 tune and so can see how it makes a difference apart from the dyno sheets.

Of course, CNT catless UEL. Problem is solved if you haven't read the other posts.
