Radar detector on back glass

Would a radar detector mounted where my third brake light used to be, work effectively there? The location in the middle of the back glass can "see" through to the front of the car, between the front seats. Thinking about getting a Valentine-1 with the remote display and hiding the main unit there. Could cut holes in the plastic if needed. Should be some easy power wiring nearby too.

Thoughts?

Thanks
-Mark

I just don't want anyone to know I have it. I'd like it to be 100% hidden if at all possible. Windshields, mirror and visor mounts still leave it exposed.

If your worried about it being exposed mounting it on the rear window does the same thing so I guess who are you worried about it being exposed to?

If you're that worried, I'd consider mounting it in your grill behind a piece of plexi. It will take some weather proofing, but it's fairly common practice by custom install shops.

Check the link in my signature, it's not a cheap system.. but definitely stealth, no one will know you have a radar detector
