Exhaust tips hanging a little low.

Not really necessary to go into the specifics, but the tips of my recently installed catback is hanging a little lower than I'd like. There's about a 1 1/2 inch to 1 3/4 inch gap above the tips. Is there such a thing as shorter exhaust hangers that I could buy to quickly solve this? Not really interested in performing any cutting.

Thanks!

Can you turn the bushings a little bit so they don't hang straight down? You might be able to get nearly an inch if your pipe has a little give.

I could try giving this a shot in the morning when I have some daylight. I would imagine that they'd just slide back into place after a while. I'll do my best, though.

You can buy stiffer hangers(polyurethane instead of rubber) or put both hangers in the same hole.
You can also heat the hanger and bend it into shape, just don't rip it off the weld.
1.5-1.75 inches is kind of a lot.
Do you have pics? What exhaust is it?

You're going to want at least some clearance so you don't run the risk of melting your bumper cover, turning the bushings won't do anything they will just rotate back. I bought Perrin? poly hangers and they are WAY stiffer than stock, can't comment on height difference as I didn't take measurements, but you could always utilise them on the most rearward 2 hangers for some angle adjustment if your new catback still uses all 4 muffler hangers

Measurement might not be exact, but I do know it's two finger widths for me. It's a Spec-D catback. Wanted something cheap for now (for better sound). Plan on going a full custom setup with quad tip in the future.

You should be able to adjust it a bit, or just replace the hangers with something shorter.

You can use worm clamps to shorten up the hangers. Just wrap the hanger with the clamp and tighten up. Just make sure you get the correct size; to small and it wont fit around the hanger, to big and it wont tighten down enough to do anything. This will get you about 1/2 to 3/4 inch less gap. You can also make adjustments as far as tighter or looser so you can even out the tips.
