Pa FRS/BRZ guys, running a catted header

Anybody in PA (most notably Pittsburgh) running a catted header and still passing inspection/emissions with no problems? I want to run a JDL catted Uel, but i live in Pittsburgh and obviously must pass a somewhat stringent emissions test, i have the OFT but have read other people's experiences with running a stage 2 and it seems that it doesn't quite work out in the long run with a catted header. Any input from my PA guys or another big emissions state or who live in a county with emissions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I too was under the impression I'd have trouble with emissions inspection. I'm completely catless and it passed. I've got the borla uel/op/fp and it's a stage 2 flash.

Really? Wow, totally catless in Pa and passes emissions, never would expect that. You weren't worried about leaving the stage 2 on there when in the dealer's hands? I know it says to be safe flash back to stock when taking to a dealer.

Oh it wasn't a Subaru dealer. It was a local shop that I go to. I'd flash back to stock if it was the dealer

Lol i was about to say that would have been risky, even if u take it to the dealer for something unrelated they have been known to reprogram ecu's, i know when i had my TC years ago i took it in for new tires or whatever and when i looked at the invoice it said they added new software to my ecu and i of course didn't ask for it, must have been a a TSB i didn't know about.
