Solved: (OFT) Error occurred while reading data from DME
Hi All,
I couldn't find a solution here and I'd thought I'd share what caused this error when using the OFT. It might help someone else here. Sorry for the double post if it's somewhere but I don't see it. I got the OFT and got the error "Error occurred while reading data from DME" when trying to read from my ECU. Tried multiple times and it did not go away. I had a battery charger connected to the BRZ becuase I was worried about draining the battery while reading and writing from the ECU. Apparently the (higher) voltage seen by the ECU freaks out something and causes the OFT to throw out that error message halting all reading or writing. The solution is just NOT charge the battery the same time as using the OFT. I hope this helps anyone. I have a feeling that a low voltage at the battery will also cause this. It might be some failsafe when reprogramming. Regards, Vic |
