Rear view mirror Detector mount
Looking for some ideas about frs detector mounts. I have the updated Home link mirror. It has the bigger mirror mount shaft. I picked up one of the rear view mirror mounts off the ebay. Its one that came recommended. It is not the escort brand. My problem is the mount is heavy along with my Redline 8500 hanging off the rear view mirror vibration is to much for me. Does anybody else using this type setup have a similar result as mine. Everything is tight, its just a blurry vision unless your on a silky smooth roadway. I don't want to trust the new style updated suction cup that came with it. I saw a nice setup for the c-6 and c-7 vets. Its a bracket that mounts off the sun visor clip from under the headliner. I am just looking for any alternative mounting other than the dash area. Thanks in advance Steve

I use a Blendmount for my 9500ix. the detector does vibrate slightly while at idle, but that is because of my aftermarket engine mounts. it isn't that big of a deal and nothing comes loose.

Make sure the mirror mount screw is tight too. I've had that setscrew loosen up a bit, and things vibrate more.
I designed a mount, that functions similar to the Blendmount, without all the adjustments. |
