Does anyone track their car with a 1 piece DSS driveshaft?

I'm trying to figure out what to do with the DSS alu 1 piece unit I just purchased.

See the thread below:

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=109380

Coles notes:

-Bought new DSS shaft and installed a couple of days prior to my last lapping day.
-Put 65 laps on the car.
-The week after the lapping event, noticed gearoil smell intermittently and noise from driveline.
-Put car in air, found outputshaft bearing to have play and gearoil to be leaking from outputshaft seal.
-I'm assuming the DSS shaft caused this to happen from increased NVH, but I'd like some more confirmation before I effectively eat a $600 purchase.

It would have to be out of balance to damage the bearings, which is possible, but I'd think you would've felt that.

I've had mine on with the subframe bushings and it's definitely more noise near redline in 4th and 5th gears. I haven't had anything else seem strange though. I should go under the car and have a look this weekend.
