Rear View Camera *Fail*

I thought I bought a high quality camera, and I suppose it is. I wanted to get one NOT on a license plate; one that was subtle.

The next one I buy, which will be *now*, I will address maybe, I don't know, where it points?

Sad.

Oh, and the one I picked is a Beat-Sonic N200. It sucks, but to be fair, if you have a truck with a hitch you regularly use to load up a boat, it would probably be brilliant.

I make up 112% of what I say.

get a Rydeen Duo. you will need to drill a hole through the trunk garnish though (but it is easy since the garnish pops off the trunk). it has a solid metal body and pretty good quality, even at night. the camera comes with built-in lines, but you can disable them by re-connecting the green (I think it was green) wire. my HU had lines that were adjustable so I disabled the ones on the camera. not sure if your HU has adjustable lines too. you might also need to buy an extra reverse trigger wire for the FRS since it didn't come with one from the factory. the BRZ already it so I didn't need to do anything about that

I'll check out yours too. Mine worked perfectly except once drilled there's no adjustability, just about a 45 degree down. Is yours adjustable once mounted?

there is no up and down adjustability, but you can twist it left and right to get it in the sweet spot before you stick it down with the double sided tape and the nut on the back. there was no need to adjust the camera after I stuck it on since the lens are wide angle and will capture everything. as you can see in my first picture, it only captures a little of the bumper which is fine. I just placed my camera in the OEM position (if you already drilled a hole, just use that position instead) and kept the camera straight along the trunk garnish edge. this picture might show it better:

On an FR-S the best place to mount the camera is in the middle. With a Rydeen Duo it's still going to show part of the bumper but not as bad as your camera. There's no adjustment to point it upward.
One forum member made an angled rubber wedge gasket to help point it upward.

On my FR-S. It needs to be tilted up a bit. Ok for now.

Exactly! Those are what I'm used to. No idea what's wrong with this one, but hopefully Beat-Sonic can tell me

I made an angled shim from some rubber fender washers to adjust the vertical angle on my Rydeen Duo. Trial and error.
