adjustable shifterj

hi,

just wondering, do adjustable shifters like this k-tuned shifter exist for our cars? if not, would anyone be interested in buying these if I decide to design and machine some?

here's an example of what i'm talking about.

the shifter sits pretty close to your arm in this car so I don't see a need to adjust it. if it was on the floor, then I would understand but I don't think it's useful for our cars.

Shifter placement seems ok for our cars when daily driven. But if one is mostly using on track or rally, shift knob placement higher / near steering wheel for hand less to travel for shifts might do better. Of course, mods like this CAE Ultra Shifter improve also precision .. but imho higher shifter placement also adds a lot to shifting feel on track, so possibly such extender may help with providing that bit. I foresee problems with retrofitting reverse lockout though.

hmm i see. do you think adjustable knobs like these would be in demand for street driven cars? forgive me if im wrong, but longer and taller knobs give more "feel" to shifting, right? perhaps what i'm thinking of is that only a niche market exists for these extenders.
