Car pulls left and right on high speed, need advice!
I have a 13 BRZ, running stock tires (about 20k miles on all 4) until I hit a nail last Sunday night. The nail was on the side and could not be repaired so I bought 2 new Hankook Ventus V12 Evo to replace both rear ones. Tires, mounting and balancing were all from a local reputable tire shop.
After that my car started pulling left and right on the freeway whenever I drive 65+ mph. Anyone knows what the problem could be? PS. I can't go back to the tire shop until Saturday morning. |

At first, it was pulling left and right like crazy then I checked all tire pressure last night and 3 were at 40 PSI, except for rear right which was about 32 PSI. I pumped air to make all 4 at 40 PSI and it still pulls a little bit.

Start with air pressure. Chances are one tire is lower than the other.
Next check the lugs nuts are nice and torqued to spec. If the cars alignment was good before then it's not that. Thrid, it could be the new tire tread. Either keep driving for a few hundred miles or do a burn out.

what width of tire did you go with. This can also play into it as a wider tire will deff react differently to the road surface then the pizza cutter tires the car came with.
There is a section of road by my house that is very uneven and the car pulls to the left and right a ton on it but the rest of the time the car is fine. |

alignment won't do you any good. The stock tires will tramline and with different rubber on the rear, it's causing front and rear to track slightly different. Make sure that the Hankooks are mounted on the correct side- they are directional.
If they are mounted the right way, grab a jack and put the hankooks on the front and the stockers on the rear, see if that helps. You'll probably get a little more oversteer afterwards though. |

I agree with humfrz. 40 psi is way too high. The car is extremely twitchy with high tire pressures. Last time I had my tires changed I had the same problem. Checked the pressure and it was 65 psi!
Always check the pressure after anybody fools with your tires. |

40 psi is fine if you are checking tire pressure when hot... if cold pressure should be around low to mid 30s (aka 30-35 depending on a variety of factors).
