OFT Tablet and OFM showing different Calibration IDS?

Hi, on my car with the OFT plugged in under ECU info it shows that i am a "B01c"

However, under OpenFlash Manager with the OFT plugged in, it shows that I am a "D00c" ... I am a bit confused which tune to use.

I m trying to update to the latest OTS maps that SHIV released.
Do I use the b01c, d00c, or the newest f40c?

My car is a USDM 2015 BRZ

Not an issue. Your native calibration is D00C. This is what you load in going forward. D00C tunes are based on B01C calibration which is why you see B01C when you query your ECU for Calibration Code.

At the end of the day, OF Manager will only allow you to use the correct calibration ID. Technically, you could test either and whichever OF Manager allows is the correct one. When trying to load the other one, you will get a "file is not compliant message".

So, why are newer roms like D00C and E00I being overwritten with older roms? Someone with an MY15 year car wouldn't expect their ecu to be overwritten with MY14 code.

I just checked the OTS bins. And the D00C files are not backdated to an older ROM. But the E00I is indeed backdated to an A02I ROM. It really doesn't make a difference. Sometime we backdate ROMs to inherit pre-existing XMLs and functions like launch control and flat-foot shift. But usually this is just a temporary situation.
