Talking Possible to tune car a bit louder at idle/low rpm?

Hi guys,

I'm running a catless UEL header with otherwise stock exhaust tuned with OFT stage 2 and some Wayne modifications.

I'm really happy about the sound and volume above 2500-3000 rpm, and I'd rather not have it any louder.

However idle and low rpm sounds a little too tame for my taste when warmed up.
What tune changes can I do to increase the volume of the sweet rumble in the low range and especially at idle, other than increasing the idle rpm..?

the exact opposite of what the cold start tune tries to achieve. Hold a higher idle speed RPM target, retard the timing more etc.

There's not much you can do without negatively effecting economy.

The quiet cold start EDIT not tune, to get it to not bark and wake up neighbors in the morning with uels and a muffler delete. Where you simply open up romraider and edit timing, the idle speed targets, the maf tables for in gear and neutral....

Which has absolutely zero relevance with engine volume when warm.

I think your goal will be hard to achieve.

If you retard timing during normal idle your going to have to alter a lot of idle tables and idle stability tables, the car idles at arround +11 degrees and theirs heaps of compensations for stuff like air cond and alternator and likely heaps of other undefined tables that we know nothing about. It likely to have heaps of unknown or undesirable effects and alter economy motor torque likely stalling issues ect.

Thanks for your responses.

I guess I'll have to live with it the way it is, or get a catback that won't drive me nuts.

if you want it louder, just downshift and it will be louder. having a quiet idle is useful when you don't want to attract attention.

I'm gonna assume he has everything stock except for uel exhaust wise and I would say just get an axleback that would totally help the idle out

But axle back would make it very loud all over the rev range with a catless header, wouldn't it?
I've only heard one aftermarket exhaust on a GT86 (I think it was a Perrin). As I remember it, it was very deep and numb sound due to his stock header, but it was still as loud as mine is now while driving.

If I wanted my idle RPM to be at 800 instead of the OFT's 750, do I just change all the 750 values in every table shown below to 800, and change the values that were 775 to 800? Would there be any other tables I'd have to change?

I'd like a higher idle RPM so I can roll off the clutch to get moving easier rather than giving it some gas.
