Monogram Headlights on a BRZ

Okay so I really hate the look of the BRZ headlights. I would much rather have the LED headlights from the FR-S (Monogram, 10 series, RS1) BUT as I'm sure most of y'all know, they aren't easy to come by. Also, I'm not even sure if they're a direct swap. A local guy is selling them off his FRS for $350 and that is just too cheap to pass up, plus they're right there. But is there any way to get them on to a BRZ, or are they not a direct swap? I can't find any thread on the search (all are about putting BRZ headlights on a FRS).

Also, if anyone with LED FR-S headlights wants to swap mine are brand new lol, assuming they are direct swap to the BRZ.

Edit: I also noticed the Winjet headlights are very very close. But I don't trust aftermarket as far as quality. I do a LOT of night driving, and don't need problems with visibility. Does anyone know if these (or maybe Spyders?) have better or worse light projection than OEM?

I wouldn't buy the winjets as your headlights are factory HID like the Monogram/RS. I would imagine at most you would be looking at some minor repinning as that is all that it takes for a base model FR-S to hook up the BRZ headlights.

I would jump on the monogram headlights for $350 especially if they come with bulbs & ballasts. You could then sell your BRZ headlights to me for $600 and make $250 ;-)

10 Series/Monogram will be straight forward for the most part. I'd have to look at your wiring diagrams but as long as Pins 5 (+) and Pin 6(-) are for the xenon bulb, Pin 7 (+) and Pin 8 (-) for the high beam shutter, and Pin 1 (+) and Pin 4 (-) for the LED DRL strip then your good.

Your problem will instead become the loss of the DOT required front turn signal/parking lamp.

Not so straight forward for you.

Your wiring on pins 5-8 are the same so you'd have the low and high beam function. However the BRZ doesn't appear to use pins 1 at all (Pin 2 is blank just like the FR-S according to the BRZ wiring diagram). Pin 3 (+) and Pin 4 (-) are your front turn signals.

Good luck.

For the TLDR

You'll be good for the Low/High beam function but thats it. You'll have no LED DRL strip except for below with the OEM BRZ DRL and you'd have no forward facing turn bulb which would give you hyper flash every time you turn on the turn signal unless you have the LED bulb relay which negates that test feature.

Yeah, sorry to let the air out on that one. We each win some and lose some. After 2 years the BRZ front end has drawn me back in because I miss the look of my Viggen. At the time of purchase (aside for other factors) I wanted a slightly different front end look.

Its funny how some things just work out.

I went with the BRZ because the HyperBlue, and because the limited features. I would most definitely be lying though if I said I thought the BRZ mustache and headlights looked better than the RS1 haha

They're alright, very "nice looking" indeed. I don't want nice lol. I want MEAN looking headlights. And every time I see my buddy taking off in his RS1 it just screams aggressive

They look good, I like that they don't have the orange on them like a lot of other bulbs.
