I've been looking to make a brake cooling setup but looking at pics I see some mount the rotor plate exhaust hole at the caliper, opposite side of the caliper and on top of the caliper. Does it make a difference where the cold air exhaust hole should be located? I would think more towards the front of the car would be best but I'm not sure. Any suggestions?

You want to aim the air at the center of the rotor where the vanes will pick it up and spread it throughout the rotor more evenly, not just blowing it at the back side of the rotor face.
