Always Replace Skid Plate

Not sure if this is the right section, but it makes enough sense. If you're working on the car and pull your skid plate, always replace it after you finish. If you don't, and you leave the fiberglass piece directly behind it installed, you run a high chance of tearing the fiberglass piece off from the aerodynamic stress.

We forgot to reinstall it after headers and left it like that mainly due to laziness, thinking it wouldn't be a big deal. This is what happens.

Lesson learned, again. No shortcuts.

Ugh don't say that. I'm already dreading the trip to parts on Monday. At least I'll get to see the look on their faces when I go in holding that as an example of what I need. That should make the day a little better.

You know what he meant.

Bummer, OP. Valuable life lesson. At least it wasn't a mattress strapped to the top of the car.

since I'm such a swell guy (actually I did the same damn thing) here's the part number:

56410CA001

I got it for 75 bucks online. You might already have it, but it was a pain in the ass for me to find.

I haven't even started looking, so thanks.

Shipping is probably going to be like 100 bucks to here, haha.

lol I did the exact same thing once. Absolutely shat myself as I was taking it for a quick spin after adjusting the turbo wastegate actuator and driving along at 50 mph suddenly heard a horrible sound as the trim dragged along the floor... I thought it was something way more serious haha so relieved when I saw the trim hanging down in tatters

Same thing happened to me... I just said f it and just run the front metal skid plate and no rear fiberglass one. So far so good. Don't think the fiberglass one is really necessary?
