Installed My Protekt Skid Plate

Hello all. Just recently installed my Protekt skip plates on my BRZ. Even though I plan on replacing my bumper due to some damage on it, decided to do a test install because I was flushing out my brake system. I am running on Hotchkis springs, so its about an inch drop, so every now and then I scrape.

Some the holes that are in the plate (counterbore holes) which use the stock clips to help align it, and some holes (countersunk holes) that you will have to drill in the bumper. All hardware are sunken in, so dont have to worry about grinding those down.


Its pretty straight forward with the install, just remove these clips.


Then remove this front tray.


As you can see, I,ve been scraping it for awhile




Oh you will want to remove the clips that hold in the fender liner for easier access to some the holes.


After you reuse the pre-existing holes to clip on the plates, you then can start drilling the holes in the bumper.


And tightening the bolts is easy enough to with the under tray removed and the front underbody of the fender linings are removed.


All in all, I wish I had these installed previously because this would have prevented a lot front bumper scraping, especially leaving drives ways and other things. Install is straight forward, and when I replace my bumper, I can easily uninstall this and reinstall it on the new bumper.
