A little context:
I had a Clutch Master FX350 with a steel fly wheel (14 lbs) installed in my car because of FI about a few months back. Due to the higher clamping force, if you even slightly have a lower RPM to engage the clutch, the clamp is so tight, that it would shudder the engine to the entire car. The obvious solution back then/ and now was to rev higher (as this is a higher capacity clutch) before engaging and going. However, I don't like the idea that I sometimes do slip up and have a little moment of shudder. Enter the Cusco engine mounts (Rallysportdirect made a good review of it here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30313) It literally changed how the car feels. When I slip and shudder, the shuddering was only limited to the engine bay - which gave a bigger margin of error when engaging the clutch. In addition, with less loss of power from the engine vibrations, the car feels way less sluggish than before, and surprisingly I noticed an improvement to gas mpg (could be placebo effect, but I am constantly monitoring my MPG). No picture of the hardware, so here's one of the car. Cheers

I have a set of cusco engine mounts waiting to be installed. how's the vibrations from the engine? I had a set of PU engine mounts in my old car and everyone complains about how harsh the ride would be, but I didn't notice that much of a difference. I did notice my rear view rattling sometimes though lol. I'm assuming it would be the same for this car.

There's a definite increase in NVH at idle, you will feel the vibrations from the front of the car, steering wheel and brake pedal. However I do not mind it and on the road it's not even noticeable.

I love my cusco engine mount , much better respond , and boxer engine is far less vibration than other flat 4 in my opinion ! After the engine mount settle , you forget there is any , friends of mine ride with me can't tell any different , friends of mine drive it just wonder how responsive in term on throttle respond and shifting . BTW , I have cusco engine mount , super pro transmission mount and differential mount . They work amazing well all together . I would suggest did all mount , cause I had the trans. & diff. mount before I did the cusco mount , one end stiffer cause the other parts of it feel softer ....
