FRS Wont Start
So recently I blew a coolant line to the turbo and the car overheated reaching around 260°. I pulled over and let the car cool down before I drove home 5 minutes closely watching the temperatures. After I replaced the coolant line the car refused to start. When the Key is in the ON position it seems to have full power but when I turn the key to try and start it the car seems to just die. I replaced the battery and am still having the same issue. Does anyone know a fix?

AFAIK the the coolant temp only works if ther is coolant in the system.
Otherwise its just hot air. Get a socket and breaker bar and see if you can turn the motor over manually. No? Seized the engine. Yes? Something else. |

The engine is turning over but only on jumper cables and it’s just trying to catch the whole time. Key in all the way it just cranks and cranks but won’t catch. I don’t think it would crank if it was seized. It just won’t catch and start

Old school asking here, what do you mean when you say the engine won't "catch"? Are you saying it won't "fire"?
Sorry to ask, but are sure you have gas in the tank? |

Yes I have gas in the tank it’s about 1/2 full. It’s turning over but not firing and running. It only cranks on jumper cables though. Not by itself.

sounds like the engine is seized.
It seems that you are saying there is so much load on the starter that it can only turn the engine with the additional amperage from jumping it. If the starter is struggling to turn the engine it will not build enough speed and compression to fire the engine. |

Do a compression test and you'll know for sure. Sounds like you have probably lost compression from warping the heads

How many volts does the car battery read (as read by touching the battery clamps, not just the posts). I suggest you clean the battery clamps and the battery posts. Also, check the big fuses on top of the battery to make sure they aren't blown. Come back. |

Hard to crank and needs two batteries after getting overheated.
Doesn't mean your engine is seized, it obviously turns, but chances that it's very hurt are high. Get a bore scope down those plug holes. At least take the plugs out, if it doesn't crank easy at that point then consider that engine done. |

System lean and purge flow. Check if you haven't melted the purge solenoid.
