Gem,
Apparently since you can read this, this is for you. This is going to be my one post in your thread. I just found this and I've had some time to calm down a bit, hopefully you have too. I'm sorry that you ended up being banned, I did not ask for you to be banned nor did I know that you would be banned as a result of the actions that took place. I believe I have an idea of why you were dogging me so hard but it's only my assumption and that's something that should only be discussed between me and you. I understand you're trying to help yourself and others in the community but I feel the way you did it could have been better. I have been honest with the community as much as I can be, but for whatever reason, you were not satisfied. Sorry I couldn't do better. I hope you continue to develop your car, find a setup that's right for you, and above all else, stay safe and enjoy it. Earl |

This whole one and done thing, or banning/suspensions without warnings can be a problem that will sour people to the forum and eventually they will find new places to go to.

The risk was to great to not ban him. I'm not saying he should have or the outcome doesn't suck, but life is life.

Yea, and how will points be assigned? They kinda do that now. If you're offensive or rude, or just really, really assholish.... you get assigned points and a warning.
The problem here isn't with that system. Gem, while he did have valuable things to contribute, had a problem communicating that. He would get riled up when anyone disagreed or challenged him, and then threw tact out the window. So you have someone who's a paying member of the site, and another who's becoming very aggressive and sometimes rude.... it wasn't a difficult decision for Hachi to make. However, we know Gem. We know his 10 page diatribes will no doubt be offensive to someone, but, over time we've learned to read his language. We know his bias and can look past that.... But, that's very few of us. Then you'd have to figure out who's a troll and who isn't. If you're of the type who believes anyone with an opposing view is a troll, then this probably isn't the forum for you... or many forums for that matter. |

I had a problem with him in the very beginning, but accepted him as time went on. He did have a lot of good points, and always shared his information. You did need to put it through your "Gem" filter, but there were a lot of good bits in there.

He's got a dyno scheduled this week. He's been busy tracking, and playing around with a few things.
