Rota mock up to test wheel fitment...... close enough

Got bored after work today and wanted to see how my old wheels from my wrx drift car would fit the frs...... not too bad..

Just needs a lil bit of lowering and camber. And the offset and width (17x9 e30) will be pretty much spot on for me, close enough to order a set of Works I thinks.

lol, any pictures of said "wrx drift car"
Yet to see a proper drift car on stretched tires, let alone a drift car with AWD.

Not sure if this a troll comment? If not don't take this as condescending just sharing knowledge

Really good writeup about the origin of stretched tires:

http://driftjapan.com/blog/car-parts...i-style-tires/

Stretching tires actually came out of the drift world and became a fashion thing, but going back to its functional root, it allows for smoother and more progressive breakaway while having the shared benefit of being cheap (narrow tires)

High $ drift cars might not use it as much (but still do) because they have money and need maximum grip. They also have precisely tuned suspension with solid bushings so they're no longer doing relatively imprecise changes like stretching a tire to change the balance of the car.

Go to a grass roots drifting event and nearly every tire is stretched and its not for looks... although the fashion definitely has become part of the scene, too.

OP: Nice to see a WRX drifter, and I dig cressy's too.

Dont know the weight sorry, but they dont feel that heavy for a cast wheel. Wheeldude.com might be able to get the weights for ya though.
