Oh, I didn't realize that excel could open .csv files.

csv is comma separated value, a pretty common general log type file. Excel will bring up and importer that you choose where to make the breaks. Just an FYI

Oh, I knew about the format, I just didn't realize excel had an importer.

You shouldn't even need the importer, you should just be able to open it with excel straight away.

Did not know that... I've been doing it line by line using notepad...

Also, I want to add that you should really warm up the tires before you take the log so it will not spike or read falsely high. I'm running some fairly decent 245 tires and if I don't heat the tires up it will spike every time.

From my logs I've notice that 3rd gear pulls gives overrated whp. 4th gear pulls seems to be inline with other dynojet right around 178whp for all stock with tune.

Anywho, it's been covered in the OP but all you need is time, rpm, tps. And the first 3lines deleted when using excel.

Having read this entire thread, I noticed that no one has mentioned which transmission their vehicle is equipped with. I'm assuming that everyone is equipped the MT. As my vehicle is equipped with the AT, I'm wondering what I need to do in order to get the appropriate log file for VD. Is a manual mode pull sufficient enough to emulate a MT pull?

Also noticed that in the options dialog (ver. 1.2.6) on the Columns and Profiles tab, you can rename certain headers in accordance to your data log file (time, rpm, afr & throttle position). Recognizes an OFT data log without issues, except for the first three lines of the file.

But I'm still getting unreal results. The closest I have come to real so far is 300 HP on a stock vehicle after isolating a 3rd gear pull. I know that I'm still doing something wrong. I'm guessing that it's my data log.

Get the car moving in manual mode, go up to 3rd gear, and slow down to ~1500rpm. Then go WOT. Done.

I wonder if it has something to do with it being an AT. The thing is, the transmission has the torque converter unlocked (I would assume, I am not sure how the lock up works on the twins, but my Jeep's 4-speed does unlocked third to locked 3rd to unlocked 4th to locked 4th so you get 6 "gears"). I think that might be what is messing with the results since you now have a lower overall gear ratio.

I'll give this a try. I would really enjoy having this work for me, as some changes are being budgeted for. Don't want much more, but I'm after the best bang for my buck. If this tool can help me get there without the cost of actual time on a dyno, I can't help but to recommend it.
