Does the UEL header tune still open that exhaust angle at 4k RPM? The sound has kinda worn on me -- I'm considering trading the sound for the longer torque dip, but I have the OFH on order and may consider not bothering if the headers affect that part of the tune.

Should I go attempt to close that angle a little in RR? Or with the headers is that wider angle no longer necessary?

The UEL E85 map has no sudden switchover in the VVT mapping. It wasn't necessary since our UEL header, by design, doesn't suffer from the torque dip. So there is no need to try to compensate for/lessen it with VVT mapping. We don't have a UEL gasoline map yet. But a good place to start would be to copy and past the VVT mapping from the UEL E85 map to whatever map you are running now (presumably a non-E85 map, correct)?

I was hoping to finish it off by the holidays but schedule didn't permit that unfortunately. So I'm shooting for the New Years, fiancé permitting

Hey Shiv,

Sorry to bombard you with yet another question. I can't seem to find the thread and results of the OFT with the Phantom Electric Supercharger. Would you or perhaps anyone point me in the right direction? I think the OFT + PESC is a dope combo as a DD

Shiv

I am running the E85 generic Stage 2 on stock headers. If the UEL map doesn't require the VVT exhaust change, I'll probably not bother and hang on until the headers come.

Thanks for the info!

So finally filled up full tank of e85 and ran the 1.42b tune. Unfortunately still having cold start issues. Took multiple times to start this morning and afternoon in 60F temps. going to have to spike the e85 with a gallon of 91 again. My next tank I'm going to try another e85 stations to see if there is any difference.

I think its just the nature of cold starting with E85 in our cars. I thought this was interesting:

I remember reading that it's just bothering me that even at 60F this is still happening.

@shiv could me adding in 91 before enough successful cold starts not allow my ecu to learn the proper e85 open loop fuel trim? Or is open loop only going to give what the fuel map tells it to give?

I remember shiv posting in flex fuel discussiion i think, that you only need about E50 to get suffient octane rating and that the ecu will adjust adeqately to compensate for ratios from E50 to E85 without issues
