Never took off my bumper. Came home from a drive yesterday and noticed the bumper popped out on the left side.

If he's a 4/13 build date then the TSB won't apply to him. Still something the dealer should look at though.

Well I may or may not have done something stupid. I bought the new revised bumper brackets from Subaru today. But I own a frs. Is that the wrong parts for my car

The brackets are likely the same. I hope this fix actually works.

note the new tsb brackets didn't do shit. because the tabs on the bumper the closest one to the headlight is all wore out. I had to cut off tabs of bumper bracket and make my own.

yes I cut off the factory tabs and use some tabs from shelf hanging stock. the driver side worked perfectly but the passenger side new tab ripped the tab on the bumper so now it will never fit. so I don't see this as a viable solution. I also copied the bumper tabs on paper for a template to cut out of sheet aluminum and glued that to the underside of the tabs on the bumper but the added aluminum wouldn't allow the bumper to push in.

honestly the design from the factory is pure lazy shit. I have been installing and uninstalling factory bumpers at body shops for years. This is one of the worst. I mean wth the car is a year old and bumpers don't line up.

so at this point I don't know what to do. People look at my engine bay and are amazed. And the next sentence out of their mouth is "what happened to your bumper"

Note: I don't know if this will help or not, but it's worth a shot.

It didn't fix the problem. May have helped short term but that's it.
