i have a doctor at work that checked up on me however told me that they can only diagnose so much since they can't do imaging and what not at work

i have developed some bad pain in my right rib area, probably a rib injury due to how seatbelts work, a bit concerning but i know with rib injuries there is nothing you can do but wait it out for it to heal

so i noticed that on my online account the total loss adjuster uploaded their estimate document, something interesting i found was that there were no lists or itemizations of estimated repairs or anything all there is, is a statement saying something along the lines of obvious structural damage and to remove/replace.

not really sure what that means, but i guess ill find out tomorrow by the end of the day when they call me

Oooo. That sounds ominous. I hope it was in the context of, "...would not be cost effective to remove and replace." I'll keep my fingers crossed for you...

Hmm. I would fight for your car being totaled in the worst case, but something tells me that tomorrow they will tell you that your car will be totaled. Even if they try to replace the damaged structural parts, there is still the cost of the wheel, the suspension, the front bumper, fender, door panel and any other panels that need replacing, as well as the airbags that went off in the crash.

Your car is totaled. Insurance will pay. Get patched up, buy a new BRZ if you wish, and continue driving.

Shit, usually with these kind of threads I look at the car and say "anybody whos been in a body shop knows you can fix a car back perfectly and it wont be a total loss." but jesus christ.
Thats a fucking total loss, id imagine this would be the exception and it would never genuinely feel the same if it got fixed. Sorry to hear it got totaled but be happy your only pain is in your rib, buy another BRZ or sue his ass and buy 5.

Long overdue update, I have moved up to a 2016 STI base

As a result, I am selling everything that was sitting in storage at the time of when all this happened - none of these parts were on the BRZ at the time of being totaled :
