And that's all without overspinning the blower which you'll need to do to get the most out of the Vortech.

The main thing I'm concerned with is heat... I've heard mixed opinions on heat with a rotrex unit but I'm hoping its manageable and it looks like they are track testing it so that's good news...
Heat is absolutely not an issue with the Rotrex...from our observations, the operating oil temp of the rotrex is usually between 140-170
The person who we worked with to develop the ecu tune for this kit also developed the tunes for two other kits on the market. He noted our intake air temps were the lowest he had seen by far.

C30-94 made 292 rwhp on CA 91-octane in my 1.8L 1zz MR-S (which makes about 125 whp stock)

Is that being driven hard at the track? That's one of my main applications for this. I really like the supercharger I just want to run 300-340whp on the track hard without too much heat issues. I know the Vortech can get there but from what I heard even with upgraded oil cooler + radiator there is still heat issues. I would think a rotrex would generate more heat than the Vortech unit no? I would think all the extra friction inside a Rotrex unit would make heat moreso of a problem.

I can't wait for this to be released and 3rd party reviews start popping up though. I'm really interested in this S/C system (or the Jackson Racing supercharge system which uses the same blower from what I understand).

So this unit needs an external oil reservoir and also requires coolant lines? Certainly has good things going for it. How much testing was done on track, which tracks and can you show logs from your testing
to prove IATs, oil temps and coolant temps?

The Rotrex has a self contained oiling system. Meaning it circulates it's own fluid. The supercharger has an inlet and oulet port. They come with a small aluminum reservoir with heat sink fins that you can place anywhere in the engine bay. Most installs will have a cooler inline (similar to a trans cooler), but on low boost applications, the reservoir may provide enough cooling.

the rotrex has its own self contained oiling and cooling system...ideal operating temp is approximately 180, but can go up to 210 i believe....if oil temps get too high during track use, the rotrex oil cooler can simply be upgraded to a larger unit to bring those temps down.

as for track use durability, it should be noted that sport car motion record holding time FF time attack cars use rotrex without sc overheating problems...also hondata record holding landpspeed car does not have overheating problems...you can also see plenty off other cars and race cars that use rotrex chargers on the kraftwerks website or facebook page

Keep up the good work.
I could swear I saw skatery with a 360whp e85 pull at elevation. Pretty sure that was with a vortech...
