I removed the middle nut that holds the top hat to swap springs. What should the middle nut on the top hat be torqued to?

I'm assuming it's the same for both the front and rear nuts (the front nut is larger)?
Also, what's the best way to remove the top nut for the front struts? I placed a 10mm wrench to hold the rebound shaft and a 22mm wrench on the nut and turned them in opposite directions, but I wasn't able to loosen the nut. I don't want to strip the rebound shaft if this isn't the proper way to remove the nut. |

Yep, that is correct. It will be fairly hard to turn it loose.. a lot easier on the car.
