And that weight is not forward. That extra weight is dead over the COG. Yes it's higher than the COG but it is on the horizontal COG and though it does have a vertical moment arm of inertia and, it could in theory cause more roll it won't affect turn in. That's why the battery weight is less important on this car than many other weights with greater moments of inertia.

@Poodles the only place I could find the AGM battery weight spec was on autozone's website, I'm going to give it a +/- margin of error.

Ok then it can be either 15 pounds more or 5 pounds more. Neither makes the difference you state.

I think we should just settle on the fact that this is exactly the same problem that no-one else has ever had.

And just leave it at that.

I think this thread has highlighted the need for a 'Car battery vs weight' schedule.. Just imagine it? It will be a success with electrically charged information showing battery types, weights, sizes and spring/damper tuning rates per battery type!! Mind just boggles!

I literally just put that exact battery in my car less than a week ago. The weight difference was small. AGM's are always heavier for the same size, but the 35 AGM is shorter than the factory battery (and other 35's) and uses a height adapter. Because of this, the weight difference is very small between a normal 35 and the AGM 35. The factory battery is quite frankly a low duty battery with less lead and thus lighter.

Again, it was placebo as YOU thought it was heavier so YOU thought you would find a change in the way it handles. Much like the crap about light weight crank pulleys and driveshafts...

I've been experimenting with fine tuning the chassis by removing pages from the owners manual.

Top tip - even page numbers.
