New battery, worse handling

So, stock battery wouldn't crank today, got a jump and ran to autozone and put in a Duralast Platinum 35-AGM and now the car's handling is terrible! Left turns are wide and right turns sink like a stone. I think it was a 13lb increase in weight and I can definitely feel it.

What do I do now. I just dropped a lot of money on this battery. What battery should I have gone with??

update: I swapped it for a 26R-DL at autozone. It weighs about 28lbs.

I cannot imagine that your handling got terrible just with a battery swap. How much heavier is the new one? The stock one is around 26lbs.

This one might be about 40 lbs.

Yes it made a huge difference. It sucks.

What battery should I have bought?????!!!!1

Something is wonky. I feel zero difference in a turn with a 200 pound passenger so a slightly heavier battery isn't going to do that to you.

Try disconnecting and reconnecting it. Maybe something messed up with the electric steering (doesn't make sense but worth a shot).

Edit: Disconnecting the battery not the steering.

If that was the case then moving to the 16lbs battery (Braille?) Would do the opposite effect right?

Sure you didn't bump into anything and throw your alignment off?

Sounds strange, but this is also the lightest platform I have been in, so it might.

Sounds like the poles have been reversed, the symptoms are obvious. Going round left hand corners it is repelling whilst right hand it attracts. It has been magnetised, I suggest you rub the roof a few times then touch a balloon. I suggest you invest in a decent rubber strap that you dangle from your rear diffuser.

I will almost guarenfuckingtee that short of adding or subtracting hundreds of pounds from the car, there is just about 0 chance that you would feel the difference of 20-30 lbs on the street or track.

If that were the case you'd complain every time you put a full tank in.

Something else is up.

Eat a bunch of junk food and become 13lbs fatter to balance out the added weight of the battery

Rob?

Gave one of the guys from here a tour of the plant a while back. The first words out of his mouth when he got out of his car were "You really DO look like Flanders".
