Wish I could help but no AT or RHD cars here for me to attempt this on

We don't have an AT BRZ in stock either, or I'd bring one in a look it over.

As far as temp readings go, I initially wanted to log a warmup from cold start without the cooler, then again after it cooled down and was installed. Forgot my laptop the day I did the install though and just monitored the warmup after the cooler was installed with the SSMIII at work.

Would to see some numbers. This looks great for people who do not want to drop 500-500$ on an aftermarket one.

I'm gonna see if I have time today to do some logging with BRZedit during hard driving.

Realized I forgot to list the part number for the FXT water pipe - 14050AA970...

Ugh my mistake

I recommend going to Heuberger Subaru's online parts store to acquire the Oil Cooler Parts.
Here is a screen-cap of the shopping cart with all oem parts needed.

Carnz, this is really cool that you posted this thread...thank you. The air oil cooler of say Perrin system versus the FXT water oil cooler...would you say they perform just as well? If they perform about the same, I say this is fantastic...it's half the price and just as efficient at cooling, while if I understand correctly, it heats up the engine oil faster on start up which is to me a better system. I'm just trying to flesh out all the facts, but this is really cool sharing of information.

I feel like this system will work fine. In my opinion it's better than the air cooled systems for these reasons:
1) This allows for quicker engine warm up thanks to the heating of the oil when cold.
2) The temps stabilize once at operating temp thanks to the "wet" cooler system
3) No risks of exposed oil lines or cores that can possibly be damaged, causing loss of oil or catastrophic failure of the engine.

The only possible problem i can foresee is that by adding the extra heat from the oil cooler, the radiator might not be able to keep the coolant at 195 F when tracking the car hard. I would assume this would only happen when running the car hard for awhile. Even then it might only go up a little bit where it doesn't really matter.

Upgrading your radiator as well would prevent this.

It seems you cannot combine any aftermarket oil cooler with this mod.

Why would you even do that?
