So true, but sometimes I gotta remind myself we're all enthusiasts in some way and I should just embrace the fact.

Whats wrong with sacrificing a little power for sound? Not like you lose so much anyways. Plus uel might give you more torque curve.

It's these whole Function > Form idiots who think that a measily 4-5 whp (Even if its that much) is the difference between EL being so much better than UEL. It's hilarious because my JDL UEL keeps up or outperforms even most EL's for the platform on NA so their wonderful statements are false regardless of all the engineering talk about pulsations and one side of the engine running properly and the other not so much. I'd say the engineering put into the JDL UEL made it work pretty well.

Besides, if you want a real difference between UEL and EL, you would need to push 350-400 WHP on a turbo to see it and I don't see many people doing that regularly. Pick what you like and enjoy because both headers do perform. I chose UEL because I wanted performance and sound.

Thread was 2+ years old. How did this even happen?

The header landscape has changed a lot since then in terms of what is acceptable/expected. Really they end up being pretty much equal for 95% of the folks on the board (those pushing less than 300 hp), so just pick what you like, and pick quality.
