Oil leak on rear SC
Hey everyone! I'm hoping the image is clear, cell phone ain't the best for this lol. Anyhow, I've got a class 1 leak on the rear of my Edelbrock. I want to get it resealed but Edelbrock says they don't have repair parts or instructions. It's the flat plate on the top rear. Is this a gasket seal or RTV? I'm hoping this is a drain, remove, reseal, refill deal. Or is this more than I'm thinking?
Thanks y'all! |

MAF was connected, but without the MAP jumper harness. Basically, the tuner was seeing the intake temp reading from the MAF instead of the MAP (I think that's what was happening). According to the tuner, the tune was not far off (after connecting the jumper harness) and only needed minor adjustments under wide open throttle.

How many of you are running CCV catch cans? and who isn't?
After my current experience with abnormal low rpm idle dips and large fluctuations in short term fuel trim (anywhere from +15% to -15% depending on how the car feels that day ), Zach thinks it is related to CCV blowback and recommends me to install Radium's catch can. Luckily I bought dual cans in the past, just need to install (any advice on how easy it is to install?). I cleaned my MAF a few times and the problem still occurs. Supposedly I am the most extreme case of this occurring... |

I was running dual catch cans from Radium for a while but only one ever picked anything up. The driver's side can is difficult to access but was the one that would pickup blow-by. So I just rerouted the passenger side catch can to use the driver's side lines and removed the catch can by the battery.

I wish I planned that into my install. I'm not running a can and haven't seen any ill effects to cause me to now.

Bare with me a few questions: Is rerouting driver can to passenger easier to access for maintenance wise or installation wise? Did you need to buy any extra parts or tools to do this? Can I install this within a day? Does the car need a retune after? |

@GPhilly
Is rerouting driver can to passenger easier to access for maintenance wise or installation wise? Both installation wise AND maintenance wise, it is much easier. Did you need to buy any extra parts or tools to do this? You will need to get some replacement hose from the autoparts store, maybe $10 at most Can I install this within a day? About 20-30 minutes Does the car need a retune after? No retune necessary, this just keeps your intake lines free of oil residue.

Sigh. sensing a trend with this company lol. I don't remember their customer service being terrible before the pandemic.

I don't remember having any trouble snaking my hand in from the passenger rear side of the blower to get the line on, but could be wrong.

I definitely will! Engine started and revved nicely! Mechanically everything looks great! While I had the bumper off I decided on new headlights and install of TRA-Kyoto brake ducts. Had to wait on those, but I’ve got them now and they look amazing. They required quite a lot of finessing to get them right… oscillating tool, dremel and sanding.
I can’t wait to drive her! Bumper should be back on tomorrow! |

Finally got her all finished up and... OMG... the fun factor for this car has gone off the scale! On a tank of E85 it rips to redline. I can easily break traction on my stickier Yoko Advans. There's much more power throughout the rev range, but the top end is nuts. No torque dip and power application is linear and predictable. As many have said, it solves this car's lack of power problem entirely. I'm able to hear a tiny bit of whir sound in the higher rpms from the blower at wot. I think it's mainly because I have a fairly quiet exhaust. I also added crackle and pop on this tune... which is super fun haha. I waited a long time to do this and even contemplated selling the car. I couldn't be happier with it now! Well worth the money for this particular supercharger.
