I've never had that issue having one of these on my cars for years and years. But if you'd be using it more for style, keeping the spring won't hurt anything!

Not only does this look like it belongs on the car, its not chrome plated junk or some absurd anodized color that makes it look like it fell out of a gumball machine.

Got a black one looks amazing and not worries about having the spring out at all!

Edit: this is not screwed in all the way, meaning you don't see the perrin logo when it is fully screwed in (hand tight)
