Thanks. Yeah I should have been more specific. Some rotors like the DBA one's come dual drilled, but otherwise yes you'll need to get it drilled for 5x100.

So, i have lots of news and i am a little bit confused now about the Swap

i try to find out all informations about the REAL BRZ tS Brembo Brake Set

LINK : https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/45055

but its very hard to get as STI Company is more than a book with seven seals

So, i try to give you all info´s they gave me the last days

sorry for my english, i´am from Germany and its hard to write for me....

So, first i can say that i have a full 2011 WRX STI Caliper Set here in my room :-)
but the more i read and infos i get the i do not know what to do for the Swap to my BRZ as i want it as clean without cutting or flex or bending anything from the parts like Dustshields.......

I found out that There are new tS Brembo Brake Parts availible

1. There is a specially TIE BAR availible that is needed for the Front Caliper Installation on both sides !

see the PIC :

and the Link to that stuff :

https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/31544

Do we need it ???

2. The Dusthields / Backplates for Front and Rear are also ready for Order

Link : https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/36467

can i use them ???

3 : for the REAR there is also a Parking-brake Set for BRZ tS availible

Link : https://www.japanparts.com/parts/list.php?pv=japanparts14-forTS0410-&dl=&cm=&md_sm=&pm=&adt=1

here are pics from Front and Rear for tS Brembo Brake Set

so, my question is :

can i install those things with the WRX STI 2011 Calipers ???

i think the Front Dustshields are a really good option for the complete look without cutting the old Dustshields ( i do not like to flex or cutting on new BRZ )

but what about the REAR Backplate ? can i use the tS Rear Backplate with my old Parking brake inside ??? or do i need the new Parking brake from
tS also ???

and when i also install the NEW tS Handbrake , what Discs do we need then ????

i hope for help

cheers , Thomas

That bar isn't neccesary, but if you do install it make sure you get the correct longer bolts. Actually I believe they first used it in the 05 model STi but removed it the next year. Or something like that.

They were only on the 05 IIRC, not needed really they were put in as an anti-oscillation item but then they realized they didn't need them.

The real question is why do you want it? I'm not even sure it will work on the reverse mounting we have on the BRZs.

If you REALLY need the part number, call your dealer and tell them you have a 2005 STi and I'm sure they can provide it for you.

for the front & rear rotors, u guys can just buy the match size for STI brembo. most aftermarket now all hv dual PCD (100 or 114.3), both r PnP into 86/brz.

Is the rear parking brake drum correct on those? We haven't done one in a while but on some setups the parking brake doesn't work well.

for me yes. cos the rear rotor was a spare rotor for my JDM ver 8 STI.

note: both my 86 & STI are JDM import.

cos the wrx rear drum is smaller then the STI rear drum.

So I completed this brembo conversion over the summer using brand new 2013 calipers, Hawk HPS pads and DBA 4000 rotors. I also successfully flipped the bleeders so that the pistons run in the proper orientation.

I now have exceedingly squeaky brakes coming to a stop at low speeds ESPECIALLY when I have the wheel turned. Having done my research, brembos seem to squeal naturally... or do they? Some said yes, some said no, some said hawk pads squeal, some said they didn't, some said grease the pistons; regardless I would like to know if anyone is experiencing this annoying squeal and if there is a solution. Thanks!
