if you truly want a BBK, I would say go with the RR kit: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=90379

it's pretty affordable with good results and it has been track tested.

however, I would personally upgrade pads, fluid, rotors (maybe), and lines (if you want) before going to the BBK. test it out on the track and see if it has enough stopping power. unless your "home" track is going to have multiple 90+ MPH straights into tight turns, I doubt you'll need a BBK even if you're boosted.

I have winmax W5 pads with RT700 fluid and SS lines when I went to SoW and it stopped me fine after I was going 90+ MPH at the end of the straight into the turn. no fade at all, even after multiple laps.

The only reason I'd get the TRD brakes is if you like the look of the big red calipers and want the TRD logo. Also meant my warranty was valid as my car came with them.

They are rebranded brembos as others have said. I did know the brembo model numbers but can't locate them at the moment.

There's much better value for money so logo/look/warranty would be the reasons.

Here's mine

With weds SA10R wheels

Being installed by Toyota

With original TRS SF2 wheels

I wouldn't worry about the calipers and rotors if you are a Novice track driver.

However once you move up you will want a BBK.

The Stoptech ST40 has been tested over and over and is stock on most Porsche 911s so the range of pads available for it are enormous and relatively inexpensive.

We use the 328mm Kit on our Spec86 Cup race car and Project BRZ track and street car.

Pricing is very reasonable at about $1600 shipped and they are designed specifically for the BRZ/FRS including Pads, Lines, Calipers and Rotors. Hit us up if you want to talk brakes or suspension. sales@azpinstalls.com
