There wasn't a smell or anything in the car. I took the car into the dealership to check them out and also troubleshoot the GPS not picking up a signal after 15 minutes sometimes, they found no issues with either one.

The dash speakers seem fine, although the door speakers sound pretty awful, maybe that's just how they came stock. I'll start researching alternatives and replace them at some point.

I haven't blown any speakers yet, but I am being very careful with the volume. If the cone is damaged the speakers will crackle or distort, but still emit sound. So, the dealer needs to check for more than just some output from each speaker.
