950cc Bosch injectors
265l DW Pump

Not aiming for higher numbers for now, since I'm on stock tyres.

Thanks Bill and Zach at Delicious Tuning.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't people hitting numbers similar to that on 93 octane? Why the extra trouble for E85? Are you building a foundation for more power and just kept the tune really conservative or is 300WHP on 93 a hyped up figure?

The dyno is in kW....not hp....

Equals about 300whp, with a baseline of around 134whp converted from kW. That's a solid 170whp gain, more than double stock. For reference a stock car on our Mustang reads 155whp, and a stock car on a Dynojet typically reads a little above 170whp. All about percentage gains.

Sincerely,

Zach

No I understand. (Had to use an online calculator lol)
I have been quoted these numbers (300WHP) with just an EBC and full 2.5 exhaust on 93 octane with this kit. (Factory fuel pump and injectors)
Am I being ****ed around or are we talking borderline unsafe tune?
Not trying to be a ****, just trying to get a more realistic idea of what I should expect. Everyone is just so nice when they want your money, but if I drive a considerable distance and drop a relatively large sum of money, then I would hope to not be disappointed by numbers and/or leave with an aggressive tune that isn't all that safe without additional supporting mods. If I should only be expecting 275 WHP, then I would like to leave the dyno knowing my expectations were met. By no means do I intend to stay around 300WHP either, so 275WHP would be fine until i can run E85 with fuel pump, injectors, and clutch.

Completely understand, and really it all depends on what dyno you're running on. If this same car was running on a Dynojet, it would've shown about 390whp, give or take a couple hp. This is about what we see on these small turbo kits on Ethanol. In addition, Gavin here in the graphs is also only on 8psi of boost. On E85 he could actually be running 14-15psi, but doesn't have an ebc quite yet. 300whp is not out of the picture on 93 octane, on a dynojet at about 9psi. 91, definitely not happening. On E85, the size of the turbo becomes the real limitation.

Sincerely,

Zach

The two that we have tuned with actually feel really nice. Feel like stock but hold the torque, what more can you ask for? Out of all them my favorite clutch for daily driving.

zach,
Where do you think a similar setup on a 91 tune will end up in terms of whp? I know how terrible 91 is... I am knocking between 3k and 6k on a 91 OTS tune... even with ignition advance pulled to .65...

It really depends, on 91 I think the SBD kit is probably limited to between 260-275whp. Our gas is very bad.

Zach

Yes it is. And it feels like local 91 has switched to an even shittier summer blend or something... thanks for the input.

Pump gas blends do change by season as far as the additive packs are concerned, so this wouldn't surprise me.
