And yes, on place can have a pile of snow and someplace 10 minutes away. I see it all the time on my 2 hour commute smack between all the Great Lakes.

What he said...I live on a peninsula that juts out into one of those lakes. I've seen it snow here at the rate of 1 foot per hour (sometimes more), while people just 10-15 minutes north only get a few inches total. Wind plays a big part too. 1 foot of snow can easily make for 3-4 foot snow drifts in very little time.
I have been pleasantly surprised a few times by just how good this car is in the snow with the right tires.

On the summer tires inches of snow might as well be feet!

The ice in Halifax now has me hoping I don't rip off both bumpers and my exhaust though.
I am lowered 1 1/2 " and high centred a few times. The combination of light weight, mostly enclosed undercarriage and good snows allowed me to just sort of toboggan through it. Thought I was screwed at first though.

All fairness the RWD part has nothing to do with getting stuck!
And it can't possibly be the dumbest thing you have ever read on here!

Who's complaining? I was asking about the noises. Why don't you finish reading next time bud

I got stuck for a bit today, took Trac control completely off. Backed up and moved up a few feet 2 or 3 times then just throttled forward and drifted out of my situation. Luckily I was in a stop sign behind a mall strip and barely anyone passed by.

TL; DR mashed on the far right pedal a lot

Interesting...I was always in the mindset that this is a winter car since I certainly have more fun and memorable moments in this season...than any other.
