Most likely a very small leak if it took 38k miles and someone actually down there poking around to find it.

I know that any area where three sealing surfaces converge is difficult to completely seal through thousands of heat cycles.

Hopefully right. I guess I shouldn't worry, it's never shown lower than full on the dipstick. Just annoyed. This is the first new car I've ever owned so I'm being anal. Throwing a Nameless cam plate on tomorrow (mine isn't leaking) since it's on the lift and the exhaust is out.

Update: Believe it or not, Subaru actually fixed this for me. Called up my local dealer and explained my situation, drove it over with no front bumper and stock manifold on. They popped the cover and resealed it. Ended up not costing me a dime. Took them about a week. Back to the turbo install.

I recently had mine fixed by warranty as well. Went in with a header installed, took them a few days but no more leaks!
