The turbo inlet doesn't see boost so a normal hose clamp is fine, plus nobody can see it all hidden down there anyways.

Just confirming we're talking about the same thing!

Thanks again
I'll Check today when I get home, was going to check it yesterday but there was a tornado and my shack where I keep my tools is pretty far from my house. But hey I got one more question if you could help me out. I might sound stupid but, must I drain my oil before I star or any other fluids? If no, would it be a good idea to get my oil changed at Toyota one more time before I void my warranty?

Thanks, and no rush at all.

It's not required, but I changed my oil after the install just because. If you don't, you'll still have to add a little bit of oil since the lines, turbo, and oil reservoir will have increased the oil capacity in your car. You won't lose any oil during the install unless you're doing it wrong lol. Both oil tap locations (galley plug and back of the cam) are mounted on top of the engine, so everything would of drained down.

You don't need to drain the entire coolant system, but you will need to top it off since you will lose some coolant when replacing the lines. Make sure you use the right stuff. My BRZ needed Subaru Super Blue.

1L of 0w20 from the dealer and a jug of coolant shouldn't run you more than $30 or so.

The only thing I've seen is that it's listed as an AVO 18/49 Turbo. I'm assuming 49 is the trim since it's not exactly known for it's giant power numbers? edit; Or maybe the a/r? I have no idea, just speculating lol

It's pretty much a standard 7cm TD05-18G turbo. So it's larger than a VF39.

here's that picture... at the end of the pliers with the clamp.

This is where the coolant will come gushing out when you take it off.

Also have a picture of the oem coolant hose that gets removed. It ran along under the intake manifold. hmm.. Damn I didn't put the braiding on the new hose.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I'm just anal and do stupid things that are not necessary.
