I have seen the OEM Nurspec front bumper in person, the fangs are huge, and it sticks out past the normal bumper on both side ends

A version of the TRD lip exists without the license plate mount, but I've only seen them on the 2014 Gazoo Racing cars. Not sure if they will be made available for public purchase. I inquired about them in another thread, but no one was any help. I've been considering contacting Gazoo directly.

Once you black out the tag, it pretty much disappears. Does it look as good as actually eliminating the tag holder?.... No.

But is it a lot less trouble to just cover it up?....Yes. And the tag holder area of the TRD front is also an attachment point to help hold and stabilize the center of the piece to the bumper. My $.02 YMMV.
