d'oh! blew the wiring harness fuse. hopefully, it wont be hard to replace.

Does this look right?
Isn't the "Battery Negative" the ground? From the videos of fog light installs I've watched on YouTube, none had a wire going to the negative terminal of the battery. I'm interested in the same kit as well but the wiring portion has me a bit confused as well..
