Does anyone know how the Helmholtz resonator really affects gas flow in the exaust system and therefore potential power gains? In some materials I scrolled through people are writing that it actually can even add power. Also people say it is primarily focused on removing "drone" at certain frequences produced by the header and doesn't really affect the section after it - i.e. catback.

Im a little new to exhausts. You wouldnt get the DP/FP combo resonated and get a resonated exhaust right (Or does it make it quieter?) (affect performance?). Like I was initially considering the DP/FP combo from nameless and going with perrin resonated 2.5" exhaust. Any clarification?

I'm actually getting a bit of rub during the ride with the Nameless 3" Downpipe i just installed. I'm going to look into it and try to move around my entire exhaust system and possibly install some engine mount spacers, but currently I do hear a rub. I hope its not screwed up.

Did the entire 3" system with nameless header op/dp and Perrin 3" CBE and the sound is amazing. No rubbing issues here with the op/dp combo. The Perrin exhaust is tricky around the differential. Right now I have about 1/16th" room to prevent rubbing.

Freaking sweet sounding.
I have the Perrin unresonated CBE and love it and it sounds like the Nameless down/front pipe makes it even sweeter. |
