Actually i wrapped my front bumper on the middle part a while ago to make it look like and EVo or GTR, and i had a fender bender, where the guy's car exhaust cut a round hole on my front bumper and I had scratches all over, when i removed the vinyl the paint was intact behind it!

Only problem is; if you wrap a small part of your NEW car then you remove it after 3-4 years the paint behind the wrap would be differ from the whole car.

Local co. he does work for a lot of businesses and other vehicles have seen wraps he has done last forever (he does a touring musicians vans/buses and they look brand new a year or so later)

For DD car, it's nice... Just wrapping adds a weight to the car, so not a good idea for track car.

lol why? Some interior stuff probably, like some trim. I'm not going to pay $300 for some real carbon door trim that'll probably not save any weight.

Nothing on the outside though. Except maybe an FRP aftermarket front lip that'll get all scratched anyway, so why not?

Fake CF wrap is just a personal pet peeve of mine. But even more of a pet peeve is when people wrap REAL CF on a stock part (taking expensive real CF to make a stock part HEAVIER???)

CF, for me anyway, is purely a function before form thing...

Edit: You can get a black aramid fiber (Kevlar) called Technora (Sp?), that would be better for lips and things since it doesn't fracture like CF. I think it needs an epoxy resin instead of polyester though.

Better go get all e-pissed at companies that back real c/f parts w/ fiberglass because that is about what 95% of "c/f" products on the market are.

Also, Technora isn't used for large parts
