My car recently did 180 on 93, and 199 on e85.

I hear ya on the first part the only places close to me are about 25 miles away but happen to be in my home town i go back to regularly. What parts of the engine does E85 wear down faster than regular fuel? I don't want that either but since i won't be running it all the time i think it will be ok.

Due to chemical differences between E85 and gasoline, fuel systems and engines not designed or modified to use E85 suffer increased wear and may fail prematurely. -From Wikipedia

It can wear down fuel lines, filters and Ethanol corrodes iron parts slightly. Plus the potential for water in it greater than pump from what I hear.

If you read the manual that came with the car, it states that using fuel with more than 10% E in will cause "wear" to the engine and fuel system. Not sure how true it is but the manual says so atleast.

But with a proper tune that might not be true.

You can't gain 30hp across the powerband for the simple reason that 30hp at 1000rpm takes 7 times more torque than 30hp at 7000rpm.

We also have cams in development and im not sure about headwork gains. Also stroker kits will probably come to life sooner than later. I think if you did a complete engine build and a full exhaust, you'll see some pretty impressive numbers on either 93 or e85.
