Max NA HP on pump gas as of now?
 
I was wondering what the max HP anyone has seen from bolt ons and a tune?

I saw that Visconti made 173.8 with his stage 1 tune on pump gas. This was with no other mods as far as I know.

I have not seen a dyno with say an intake, full exhaust, headers and a tune.

What do you think the max NA HP on pump gas, i do not want to go to E85, could be?

I think you should look for maximum gains over baseline number, not just a high hp number after the mods have been done.
20-25 rwhp gain should be possible without going to E85

Interested in exact same question since I do not want to fuss with e85. I was thinking intake and complete exhaust including header at some point.

Aren't the max HP and max gain sort of the same thing?

Max gain generally refers to an increase in power in a certain portion of the RPM band which is referred to as "usable power"

You definately want to be more concerned with increases in useable power over max HP

Max HP is just the highest value the motor produced.

IE a 600 whp BRZ is cool to have but if the maximum gain (usable power band) is from 7k rpm to 8k rpm it's pretty useless.

Area under the curve (usable power) and max gain are two different things...

For max gain you want to see the difference the mods made on a specific car on a specific dyno. If one car has a baseline of 165whp and another has a baseline of 175whp it doesn't mean one is actually faster than the other, too many variables contribute to dyno numbers.

Don't look at the total number, look at the gain over stock to rule out dyno setup variables (assuming the baseline wasn't sandbagged to make the mods look better).

You also want to make sure you aren't losing power as well, and anything that narrows the torque dip will be VERY useful in daily driving as well.

As for the actual power numbers, I think it'll be pretty easy to get ~200whp with a header, full exhaust and tune. Some of the headers are giving very promising results (~25whp gains!)

Max HP was easier to ask with less variables to consider than saying.

I would like to know what the most usable power from 3-6k in 3rd gear and 4-7 k in 4th gear.......just easier.

I know it would be useless to have the car make 600HP from 7200 to 7800. But since that almost never happens and would be nearly impossible to have that scenario come up if you did an intake, exhaust, headers and a tune.

Most cars are only a few HP off each other in baselines so it is an easy number to compare.

So I will restate the question.

What is the max HP increase over stock across the whole RPM band? I would personally like to know if 30HP or even more is actually reachable across the whole power band.

I have not seen anything near this. I have only seen the visconti tune. He said he made no gains with a header and very little with an exhaust.

Do you have any links to the header dynos? I will start searching now, but it you have them handy I would appreciate it.

I don't think you'll see a 30whp bump across the RPM range, but a 15-20wtq bump across the powerband and 30whp up top should be very doable without opening the engine.

I've seen baselines vary from 160whp to over 175whp, that's a big variance when you're looking for 30whp gains.

I had been seeing 165 as around the base for most of the cars if they are stick. I had not seen a 175. I am sure that can be due to different dynos.

Is it a supply issue on E85 or you just don't want to use it? I like the fact i can have a pump gas map for daily driving to work and back and switch to E85 on weekends when i want to play and don't care about mpg. None of the bolt ons are going to give you the gains E85 will and the reflash for it is the same price as an intake which doesn't do much at all.
