My setup is the same as it's been for a while.
MCS 2WR, 6k/9k springs Karcepts sway bars f/r Racer-X Rear LCA with delrin bushings Ace Header Perrin Inlet with stock airbox CSG Exhaust OSG tuned by Lugod Whiteline inserts for diff and trans mount STI motor mounts ECUTek tune by CSG Radium Catch Cans because they were cheap Only little 'extras' that I've added are a p3 gauge, a Momo Monte Carlo steering wheel and a QR so I can be more comfortable on long trips, and some grimmspeed hood shock things. I did also put in some release series 1.0 seats because I hate the red shoulder patches on the stock FRS seats lol. Last edited by e1_griego; 03-16-2025 at 01:07 PM. |

Aren't they just sidemarker replacements (without bulbs) anyways? Might be saving an ounce each side being carbon fiber

Correct, just bolt in pieces that don't call out ahaha. My corner lights keep falling out if I smoke a cone, and I hate the orange so was thinking its time to buy something that looks "cool".

I was looking at the results of the top spots at the Red Hills National and Las Vegas Pro for tire results. From the pictures on the old Solo Matters FB page, it looked like 90% of the class winners were on Vitour P1's.
Here's a breakdown of the class wins Vitour just posted themselves: 2025 Tire Rack SCCA Red Hills National Tour Vitour P1 takes top spot in 7 classes! #1 PAX on day 2! Combined index strong showing for S/ST/X/CAM! SS 1,2 CS 1,6 DS 4 HS 2 AST 1,2 CST 1 DST 1,2 CAM-T 1 XA 1,2,3 XB 1 LS 2 2025 Tire Rack SCCA Las Vegas ProSolo #1 PAX Overall! SS 1,2,3,4 BS 2 DS 2,3 S1 3,4 S3 3,4 CAM 1,2,3,4 L2 2 @DocWalt, any real world feedback? 5th in PAX out of 202. I think top PAX on day 2. Here's an STX twin getting top PAX and Raw at a test and tune fun event from last year. Could be highly skewed by them, but it's at least one data point and a video:

Technically not legal but as long as you haven't maxed out all your weight reduction in other areas then that would be a real weenie protest and I would hope nobody would do that. But if they did protest you, they'd win I think.

I can tell you that Andrew and co-driver Todd weren't on Vitours in CS. They're local, and were on the Stone and Yoks mix. Assume that's not the only example. Not sure where they got their info, but that's not accurate.

Yeah I was top pax on day 2. Car is a monster and we put in a ton of work over the winter getting it to where it is.
I have no real feedback on the tires other than "they let you do more dumb things" but they also take TONS of heat to even remotely work. Single driver below 70 degree sunny day? Good luck. They also drive bizarrely. Sharp steering that then sort of falls on its face and goes numb before it hits the peak grip. If you have a car that isn't *super* balanced steady state with shocks that stabilize the car you will be chasing your tail since the rear of the car won't keep up with the front. I also don't know if they're faster. ![]()

I interpret this as "not for PA events" ![]() Our one local group runs in numerical order, so you get a run every hour or so. Being in PA, it's not going to be 70 degrees for morning runs even at our other SCCA region that has split morning/afternoon heats (3 in each, 20 minutes between). I heard another theory they were mainly testing and getting feedback out west because they know they take tons of heat to work. Not to mention saying more people were running them than who actually were. Just sounds like everything about them are shady. I'm also questionable on a lot of the tread disappearing into a slick like the Kuhmo V730's. Isn't going to be great for us that commute to events in the rain or have more rainy events. Really just sounds like a V730 2.0 with the heat they need too. I'm going to chalk your result mostly up to the car and driver. The tires probably work, but might not be light-years ahead like the internet is trying to make up believe.

Good to see someone with some insight into them on a light(er) car with camber. The steering response is the first I've heard any insight into, and not confidence inspiring. On these cars with a single driver, I've had issues getting enough heat into the Stones in all but the hottest of days. And many times it's only been the third run that the tires felt in the right temp zone. They're certainly in the noise, and if they turn out to be the fast tire, then most will be on them. But their marketing has been sketchy at best. I don't think Dallas intentionally gave the incorrect results, he clearly just looked for Blanks and Other in the results, and assumed they were on the P1. It's the deleting anything that's less than high praise for them that makes me not trust them.

As someone who lives in a colder climate where a few months of my Autox season could be below 70 degrees sounds like I will be on Yokohamas until some other tire comes out. |

Got my first events done with the updated setup. I went to 7k rear and added rear subframe bushing. A big shoutout to Myles at RCE for that recommendation/support as I'm much more comfortable pushing the car now and it rotates a lot better with an overall neutral balance.

Reviving thread. Can anyone take a look at my build and tell what I need to take out/restore or add to properly be in DST?

STI lip kit is legal, TRD spoiler is not. You need a catted frontpipe. Roll center correction kit is not legal. At national events all of those would get attention, locally I wouldn't really care though I know they're not legal.
