Pull the cluster back out and check all your connectors/pins. You may just have a pin damaged or connector not seated all the way.

Unlikely.

Vehicle speed over CAN is working because the trip meter and speedometer are working.

HOWEVER, It occurs to me that OP says he had no codes... it's worth asking if he checked of codes with a "code reader", or if he actually accessed the instrument cluster and stability control ECU for codes.

Most "code reader" will only check the PCM Pxxxx codes, not Cxxxx chassis, Uxxxx network or Bxxxx body codes, which might be in play here.
